Multi-service vehicles in operation
The multi-service vehicles from the Herrenknecht subsidiary Techni-Métal Systèmes (TMS) provide for the trackless supply of the tunnel jobsite – reliably, efficiently and flexibly. They keep the complex work processes of tunnelling and tunnel lining running parallel. Equipped with either pneumatic or solid rubber wheels, they do not need tracks, but run on floor segments or hard-surfaced roads and paths outside the tunnel. The main advantage of multi-service vehicles is their excellent mobility even on steep ascents or descents. The wheels of the vehicle are always in full contact with the ground thanks to their axle with independent suspensions. The rear wheels, which also have a steering function, allow for driving along curves even with very small radii.
Trackless all-rounders
The multi-service vehicles made by TMS are responsible for removing the excavated material and supplying all operating materials needed for work in the tunnel. The basic models are attuned to different load capacities (10 – 200 tonnes) for transporting segments or grout and can be adjusted individually. Road and / or rail capability, personnel transport or special equipment items increase their versatility.
Tailor-made solutions
Both rail-bound and trackless vehicles can be chosen alternatively for efficient and economic supply and disposal processes at tunnel jobsites. Depending on the project requirements, the appropriate logistics concept is tailor-made for each tunnel jobsite and individually adjusted on site in line with the customer‘s needs.
