The newly developed Mine Lining Vehicle (MLV) is designed for the rapid and safe construction of lining arches in underground mines. The MLV enables mechanized installation of prefabricated elements and improves working conditions.
The mobile MLV has a diesel-powered crawler chassis and robust undercarriage designed specifically to provide good maneuverability in confined spaces of underground mines. A separate electric motor ensures emission-free lining operation.
The MLV offers remote controlled operation and various safety features to improve working conditions and reduce risk exposure.
The operator controls a telescopic erector arm from a safe distance, which manipulates and positions the precast lining elements into their final position on the arch. The erector arm can be easily adapted to different types of prefabricated lining elements.
Functional principle
The MLV supports the lining arch with its temporary structure until the bolting process is finalized. All lining elements are bolted to each element from a platform which provides a safe working area for personnel. The MLV can be equipped with an optional drilling unit that anchors the precast lining elements to the ground. This ensures a strong and stable connection between the arch and the geology.
